Futures and imagineering (with) water infrastructures

Imagineerings of dominated actors (processes of imagining and imagineering as a counterpoint); how do infrastructures change their initial functions as they are used (the rebound effect for example, or everyday resistance to infrastructure) and what questions does this raise in terms of governance and equality/inequality with regard to a resource? Is imagineering an opportunity for some groups to propose futures that are not fully under control but yet desirable?

Competing imagineerings (how in processes of imagineering different imaginaries are contested and (would) translate into different results); what imagineerings underlie the knowledge production of water infrastructure sciences? Is there any imagineering of water infrastructures that is not strongly linked to a normative focus on development and progress? How can imagineering enable us to think about more-than-human water infrastructures?

Infrastructures resisting alternate imagineerings (how the products of (earlier) imagineering constrain the imagineering of different futures). How do narratives about future climate and water availability challenge the conventional uses of water infrastructure? What insights can the politicization of contested futures provide about the handling of ecological concerns or fair use?
